Dear Friend,
Great things are happening at BFC. One minister called 2007 "The Year of Faithfulness." As a church, we experienced God’s faithfulness in our midst last year. We held several very powerful Encounter God weekends for our men, women and youth. We had the largest and most successful Vacation Bible School in our church’s history. We had fifty graduates in our first class of Berean School of Leaders. Also, our congregation was stirred to seek God afresh through corporate prayer. As a result, many were born again, rededicated their lives to the Lord and were filled with the Holy Spirit.
It has also been declared by one of God’s servants that 2008 will be "The Year of Opportunity." Sometimes we use the phrase, "the door of opportunity." When God opens a door, neither the devil nor anybody else is able to close it on us. The apostle Paul said, "Whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone, especially to our Christian brothers and sisters" (Galatians 6:10 NLT). Speaking about his ministry in Ephesus Paul said, "For there is a wide-open door for a great work here, and many people are responding .." (1 Corinthians 16:9 NLT). In the same way, the Lord has been opening some exciting doors for us and we know it’s just the beginning.
Expect 2008 to be a year when opportunity knocks, as God opens up doors and windows for His people. Put yourself in position to receive and once the door is open, be bold to walk in and enjoy the inheritance that is available to you in Christ. Remember, our best days and brightest days are just ahead.

Recent School of Leaders Testimonies:
"Berean School of Leaders has not only been a great learning experience for me but also a very enjoyable one. Pastors Mark and Stephanie are both dynamic teachers of God’s Word and they have such a heart for the lost. Being a senior citizen, one is never too old to learn more about God and His plan and purpose for our lives."
L.C. - Upper St. Clair (senior citizen)
"The School of Leaders has truly taught me so much. It taught me the most in an area that greatly affects my purpose in life - winning souls. It has equipped me with the tools and confidence needed to lead my own cell [group] or even simply in just talking to people about God in my everyday life. The school was completely worth the time and money and I would recommend it to any Christian wanting to grow in Christ."
J.R. - Bridgeville (teenager)
"I’ve developed a deep desire to win the lost to Christ through prayer and encouraging them through the teaching of the Word. Before this period, I was more satisfied with building my own spiritual life. I don’t want to discontinue this part but I want to be a complete Christian and fulfill the Great Commission. Thank you for your guidance toward that goal."
G.C. - Baldwin (business woman)
"Connecting with people on an intimate and very real level is not only the key to earning trust and developing relationships, but it is the only way to truly win souls to Jesus. During the course of these classes, I was undergoing training in my workplace. Though my job is not focused on discipling, it is important to get ‘up close and personal’ with co-workers and customers, really getting to know them. These two teachings - one spiritual and one secular - coincided in educating [me] that truly caring about people is the best way to reach them. After all, someone cared about me and prayed for me and I came to Jesus for guidance and salvation. The least I can do for Him is show that compassion for others."

"[Berean School of Leaders has] helped me to see the importance of a team. ...Also, I see such a greater need for follow up - in mentoring and communicating love for a new believer - than what was done in my life many years ago."
